5 Things to Say Goodbye to in the New Year

Tuesday, December 29, 2015

Get your party hats and noise makers ready, because it’s almost 2016! As entrepreneurs and Synergy Team Members, you are most likely noting your personal and team business goals at this very second in preparation for a fruitful New Year. For the best results, devise attainable goals and then create an action plan that makes you stick to those goals.

An estimated 24% of goal setters continue working toward their New Year’s resolutions for more than a few weeks. Be part of the group that conquers in 2016. Set yourself up to be successful by getting rid of these five things that are toxic to your business goals:

1. Clutter

As a Synergy distributor, chances are you work from home. Do you have stacks of forms and handouts on your desk and counters? Are your business materials scattered around your house? If your answer is “yes,” it’s time to tidy up! Research shows that clean, organized spaces prompt increased productivity. As you physically clean your workspace, you’ll find that your thinking space feels cleaner, too, and you’ll be able to execute tasks with greater efficiency.

2. Wasted Time

Nowadays, it’s almost too easy to let precious hours slip between your fingers thanks to the TV marathons of your favorite shows, the addictive games and limitless information contained within your smart devices, and the always beckoning social media sites. The digital world is a beautiful and dangerous thing. Make sure you’ve accomplished everything on your day’s to-do list, before rewarding yourself with an hour of mindlessly channel surfing and Facebook scrolling.

3. Negativity

The voices in your head have a powerful, yet subtle, influence on what you’re able to accomplish. If you tell yourself you cannot accomplish one of your goals, well, you’ve already failed. Surround yourself with positive people who believe in your abilities. Forgive yourself for making mistakes. If you have a disappointing week, look forward to the next week’s potential. As you make an effort to be optimistic every day, in every situation, people will gravitate toward you and your positive outlook will give you hope for the future.

4. Blame

Life would be too easy if your plans always went the way you wanted them to. The struggles you experience can help you develop a certain skillset that makes you valuable and unique. While facing trying situations, take responsibility for your mistakes and quickly correct them. Stay away from blaming certain individuals or circumstances that you believe contributed to difficulties. This will bring about a negative atmosphere that suffocates your business. Stop pointing the finger and start tactfully addressing the issues at hand to improve business performance.

5. Procrastination

New goals are hard to digest at first. They’re intimidating and can feel unattainable. With this attitude, you may feel like the safest thing to do is put it off until tomorrow. Before you know it, a month has passed and you haven’t moved a single step closer to your objective. This is the ultimate recipe for disaster. Begin working toward a goal by starting small. Plan your daily activities the night before and get to work soon after you wake up. By taking a few large or small steps in the right direction every day, you will eventually arrive at your desired destination.

Leave a Legacy of Charity

Monday, December 28, 2015

When Dan Higginson founded Synergy WorldWide in 1999, he had a clear vision of what this company would represent. He wanted the people who associated with Synergy to work from their hearts. He wanted to make a difference around the world and give others the opportunity to Leave a Legacy of health and financial freedom.

It’s the perfect time of year to consider how you can help others who are struggling. Many Team Members have considered how they can make a difference and have changed many lives through their actions. What can you do to Leave a Legacy of charity? Focus on what you can do. Small steps turn into miles. No act of charity is ever wasted.

If you are looking for a way to give back, consider donating to 5 Star Legacy Foundation, Synergy’s partner in charity that exists to alleviate the suffering of children, their families, and their communities by breaking the cycle of poverty through literacy, higher education scholarships, and self-reliance through entrepreneurism.

Stories from Team Members throughout Europe have proven that Dan’s vision has turned into a daily reality. Here are a few:

Dora Debeljak, Slovenia

Just in time for Christmas, Dora donated money through a local charity chapter founded by Team Directors Bostjan Pilej and Irena Kladivar, to deliver food, clothing, and hope to those who are struggling during the holiday season. Dora and other Slovenia Team Members raised €1500 to create 100 baskets for families in need. Because of these Team Members’ decision to donate, 33 families who would have gone hungry on Christmas Day will receive a special delivery that includes all of the makings for a beautiful Christmas dinner.

Mirva Martikainen, Finland

Mirva, a nurse and Synergy distributor of four years, experienced her most successful business year in 2015. To celebrate her and her team’s success with Synergy WorldWide, Mirva decided to donate something to a local children’s hospital. She obtained a list of items in various price categories that Finland’s children’s hospitals are in need of. She settled on purchasing an infusion rest chair for child cancer patients so that they can have comfortable place to relax while receiving treatments. As Mirva continues to build her business and find greater financial success, she plans to increase the size and frequency of her donations.

Paul, Kate, and Saxon Flint, United Kingdom

Synergy Team Members Paul and Kate are the full-time supporters of an ambitious, warmhearted, 9-year-old son named Saxon who has made it a hobby to raise money for the less fortunate. His most recent project is raising money to send 10 children to school in Mpongwe, Zambia. By raising just £1,200, these children will receive an education and one meal per day for a year. Saxon also raises money for charities by baking cookies, cakes, and more to sell in bake sales he organizes himself.

We are so touched by the acts of kindness, both big and small, displayed every day by Synergy Team Members. Continue improving lives one charitable act at a time, and you will find the greatest riches the world can offer.

Use the Holidays to your Advantage

Tuesday, December 08, 2015

The Holiday season is upon us, which means parties, gifts and spending quality time with loved ones. Don’t let your Synergy business take a back seat. Instead, use these joyous encounters to highlight the company you represent while strengthening relationships with others. Here are a few creative ways to market your Synergy business while expressing thanks to your loyal Synergy customers.

Send holiday cards

People love knowing they are in your thoughts this season. Reach out to current customers, potential customers, and potential Team Members, by sending them meaningful holiday cards. It’s a great way to let customers know you appreciate their business and to establish connections with potential Team Members and customers. Be sure to include genuine well wishes that are unique to the recipient.

Share Synergy samples

In addition to sending holiday cards, you may also consider sending Synergy samples. This is a great way to introduce customers to new products they might not have tried yet. You can also give samples as stocking stuffers. Get creative and tie a few samples together with a festive bow or gift them in a small holiday bag.

Host a holiday themed meeting

Get your team in the holiday spirit! Host a holiday themed meeting to get Team Members and customers in the holiday spirit. Give away Synergy product prizes to those who invite the most people to the party. Serve tasty recipes using SLMsmart for a festive Synergy touch.

Donate to charity

In honor of the giving season, invite your team to sign up for a charity fun run or participate in gift-giving drive. By teaming up together, you can embrace the camaraderie your team has spent the year building as well as exemplifying the “Leave a Legacy” principle through your donation or service. The recipients will greatly appreciate your service and new people will discover Synergy and its values.

Give customers something extra

Give a little bit more this season. Order extra Synergy branded merchandise to include as bonus gifts for customers as a thank you for their business. Choose from a wide variety of products including bracelets, pens, flash drives, planners, shaker bottles, and more. Shop the full range of merchandise by clicking here.

GM Message: Holidays and New Horizons

Monday, December 07, 2015 ,

Around this time of year, it starts to get really cold here in Utah and I start to wish I lived in Florida or Arizona. Despite the cold and the snow, the holiday season is one of my favorite times of year. The holidays help me keep perspective on what Stephen Covey calls the “important but non-urgent things.” It is also a time of reflection. This past year, working for Synergy has given me the opportunity to meet many incredible people and glean from their experience.

From a business perspective, New Year’s Day is a powerful holiday. Most people see it as a new beginning, a fresh start. We usually try to take advantage of this fresh start by doing something most don’t do all year – set goals. Goal setting helps us eliminate peripheral distractions and develop what Napoleon Hill calls “definiteness of purpose.” This focus leads people to do extraordinary things; things that they couldn’t have accomplished otherwise.

An interesting case study in the effectiveness of goal setting and definiteness of purpose could be the SLMsmart 90-day Challenge that took place at the start of 2015. Eva Miller, Tommy Bethards, and Justin Hall, demonstrated the power of goal setting, self-reliance, personal initiative, self-discipline, concentrated effort, and tenacious determination.

In 2015 we also made some improvements that we look to build on in 2016. At the Business Builders Conference (BBC) in June, we positioned and categorized all of our products into lines with a goal to eliminate stand-alone products. This change helped refine our offering and allows us to be more appealing to all demographics by specifically targeting health concerns and meeting customers at their needs. While this change may have seemed subtle, it was strategic. It now provides a footing on which we can and will build on in 2016 and in years to come.

2015 also saw the launch of the Elite Honors earnings model. This model was designed after successful programs that are in place in other markets. It was also designed to give new enrollments a definitive road map to profitability. Elite Honors is built on sound business principles and maximizes the Synergy Compensation Plan by providing the optimal mix of customer volume (profitability) and new Team Member enrollments (expansion). Elite Honors creates stable, profitable, and duplicable businesses.

Many of the improvements Synergy made in 2015 were done to lay the groundwork for future enhancements and launches. Synergy is developing a dynamic five-year plan in coordination with Synergy Team Members across the globe. We will start aggressively executing this plan in 2016, not just domestically, but globally. I am confident that these enhancements will lead to never-before-seen growth in several markets as well as financial independence for many Synergy Team Members. I also believe that these changes will lead to many career networkers finding a permanent home with Synergy. I look forward to witnessing your success.

Wishing you a happy holidays and a prosperous New Year with Synergy,

Shane Greer

5 Ways to Prepare Your Immune System for Winter

Friday, December 04, 2015

There are many speculations as to why people seem to start sniffling and coughing more often as soon as the cold air sets in. One Yale University study announced in January 2015 that cold wintry air weakens the nose’s immune defenses, allowing the bacteria and viruses lurking in every corner to more easily creep into your body.

Prior to this study, many hypothesized that the increase in sickness had to do with more people staying indoors and sharing breathing space. While this theory might be partially true, it’s proven that cooler weather does have a crippling effect on immune systems. While there is no way to prevent winter from coming, there are ways to help the body fight against unwelcome intruders.

Load up on Vitamin C and D

While all vitamins play a role in health maintenance, Vitamin C and D are most notable for their ability to strengthen connective tissue in bones and attack the viruses themselves, both of which lead to fewer doctor visits in chilly months. Make sure to add citrus fruits to your daily diet for Vitamin C, and brave the cold to get some sunshine for a healthy dose of Vitamin D.

Cook with Herbs and Spices

Keep your spice rack stocked this winter. Studies show that garlic, ginger, black peppercorn, cayenne pepper, allspice, curry, and turmeric, all contain properties that strengthen immune defenses.

Maintain a Healthy Gut

The gastrointestinal tract houses a substantial part of the immune system. This being said, an important part of a strong immune system is strong digestive organs. A healthy diet and adequate sleep play a major role in a healthy gut, but probiotics, also known as “good bacteria,” are touted for supporting healthy gut function. Probiotics can be taken as a supplement, but are most commonly recognized as a component found in yogurt.

Eat, Drink, Sweat, Sleep, Repeat

Taking care of your immune system requires all of the same steps it takes to sustain total body wellness. Feed your body whole foods, choose water over soda, exercise moderately a few times per week, sleep 7-8 hours per night, and make each of these healthy choices habits.

Don’t stress!

Unfortunately, no one is immune to stress. However, the most dangerous type of stress that affects your body’s systems is chronic stress, or stress that results in high levels of the hormone cortisol. This stress hormone has a weakening effect on the immune system and can really put a damper on your winter plans. So remember to relax, don’t sweat the small stuff, and enjoy a flu-free, cold-free winter.

Beware the Holiday Snack Attack

Tuesday, December 01, 2015 ,

The holidays are upon us and that means cold weather, family, and endless food and goodies. With all of that tempting food surrounding you, it can be hard to stay on track with healthy eating. Here are a few tips that will help you make it through the holidays without sacrificing your healthy habits or the fun of socializing with family and friends.

Recipe Remix

If you’re baking during the holidays, save yourself some calories with healthy swaps. Instead of oil, use applesauce (ratio 1:1), skip the sugar and add stevia (1:3/4), and ditch regular milk and use almond milk (1:1). Synergy lovers have found that SLMsmart Health Shake is a great substitute for flour in a variety of SLMsmart recipes created by you. While using all of these healthy swaps at once will make your cookies and treats better for you, we recommend trying one swap per recipe, so have fun and start experimenting!

Stay Hydrated

Social schedules packed with holiday parties and fun outings with the family leaves little room to think about your water intake, especially when there is an abundance of sugary hot drinks and cocktails that sound much more appealing. However, most people don’t realize that many food cravings are actually water cravings. By staying properly hydrated, not only will your skin look amazing in holiday photos, you will be able to avoid becoming a victim of the endless desserts that show up on your doorstep. And while you’re pouring yourself a glass of refreshing, much-needed water, add a scoop or packet of ProArgi-9+, or a dose of Liquid Chlorophyll, for even more far-reaching health benefits.

Plan Ahead

If you’re heading to a holiday party and already feeling hungry, try eating a sensible meal before arriving. No time to meal prep? Mix up a SLMsmart Health Shake instead. This shake is the perfect small meal because its three-protein blend keeps you satisfied for hours, and it's loaded with all of the essential nutrients your body craves. This will allow you to pick and choose what treats you really want instead of eating anything and everything in sight because you are desperate to ease your hunger. Also, if you are bringing a dish to share, go for a healthy and filling option that you know fits within your diet goals.

Moderation

The holiday season is a time that should be spent with loved ones, not fretting over your nutrition goals. Don’t beat yourself up if you eat an extra cookie after dinner or add another helping of potatoes to your plate. Remind yourself of your goals and remember that tomorrow is another day to start again. While this won’t keep the weight off, it will definitely make the holidays more enjoyable while you work toward a healthier New Year.

Happy holidays!

Ironman Competitor Triumphs with Synergy Products

Monday, November 30, 2015 ,

On a surprisingly cold and windy day in Tempe, Ariz., 51-year-old Synergy Team Member Xavier Marin plunged into Tempe Town Lake with hundreds of elite athletes to compete in his first IRONMAN triathlon in 10 years.

“The start of the swim is crazy for everyone,” Xavier said. “There is so much anxiety, so much energy. People are grabbing each other. When I finished the swim I couldn't wait to get on my bike. I felt strong when I was biking and steady when I was running.”

Thirteen hours and 11 minutes after he took off from the starting line, Xavier triumphantly crossed the IRONMAN Arizona finish line, which means he swam 2.4 miles, biked 112 miles, and ran 26.2 miles. Racers aren’t allowed any outside support, including headphones, which makes completing an IRONMAN both a mental and physical fete., The 6 ½ pounds Xavier lost on race day proves it.

Despite the sleet and rain, Xavier was able to keep the pace he maintained in the half Ironman he completed a few months before. He was even able to shave two hours off of his best time, proving that optimal health is attainable at any age. As a public speaker, life coach, general contractor, and father of two, Xavier knows how to take action to bring a vision to life.

“It was a year ago that I committed myself to be in my best shape of my life,” Xavier said. “I’ve been in great shape in the past, but I wasn’t into nutrition. I trained through the year with SLMsmart Health Shake, ProArgi-9+ Active, the V3 System, and e9.”

In his late 40s, Xavier said he was slower than he had ever been and figured old age was beginning to set in. When Xavier began taking Synergy products, he discovered improved endurance, the energy to push his body to go faster, and a timely recovery after training, which led him to believe that he was missing key nutritional elements in earlier training.

It was high priority that Xavier packed e9, ProArgi-9+, and ProArgi-9+ Active for race day. He took ProArgi-9+ Active and e9 before the race and then ProArgi-9+ and e9 once every three hours throughout the 13-hour stint.

“The body is an amazing thing,” Xavier said, “you just have to take care of it. Mentally, people start telling themselves they are getting older. Before the race, people were asking, ‘Are you sure you can get this done?’ And I told them there is no way I’m not going to get it done.”

Xavier will add his Ironman victory to the many stories he uses to inspire others to take action on the things they want out of life.

“Now, I really want to get the word out there that Synergy products are for athletes too,” Xavier said. “These products provide real benefits to professional and recreational athletes. If you are an athlete that wants a cutting edge, Synergy products will help you sustain your energy levels, endure, and recover.”

SLMsmart Challenge Finalist Coaches Group to Success

Friday, November 20, 2015 , , ,

Soon after Tommy Bethards’ SLMsmart 90-day Challenge results were unveiled at Business Builder Conference 2015, he set out to create a challenge of his own to share the knowledge he gained about weight management, muscle building, and simply living better.

Tommy, a Team Elite from California and father of four, lost a substantial amount of weight during the 90-day Challenge that Synergy hosted February through May of 2015. He changed his diet to focus on vegetables and proteins, exercised six days per week following the SLMsmart app’s workout plan, and incorporated Synergy products into his regime.

If you’ve seen Tommy’s transformation video, then it’s not hard to believe that his 90-day Challenge group practically created itself. Friends and acquaintances from years past contacted him eager to know more about his transformation.

“A lot of people who saw my photos probably thought, ‘Well, if Tommy can do it, I can do it,’” Tommy said. “It all begins with your own transformation. Everyone you know will become interested. When you know the person who has transformed, it becomes real and you trust the system.”

Tommy started with a group of 18 new customers who knew little about Synergy. He structured many aspects of the challenge he organized based on the challenge he participated in. Cash prizes would be awarded to the Top 3 participants with the most dramatic overall transformations. Everyone who participated purchased the Weight Management Elite Pack, and downloaded the free SLMsmart app for their workout schedule and nutrition plan. Tommy also created a closed Facebook group where participants could support each other in their struggles and triumphs in adhering to the program. Tommy used the page to post encouraging videos that instructed challenge participants to be wary of holiday treats, to snack smarter, and to mix up their exercise routines.

“My hope was that after the challenge the participants would feel the way I did and start their own challenges, making the challenge itself a business they could earn commissions on,” Tommy said. “I hoped that this additional income would open their eyes to Synergy’s business opportunities and it did. Some of the people coming out of this challenge are eager to coach the next challenge that begins January 1, 2016, while others are ready to become Synergy distributors.”

Now, let’s hear from the Top 3 challenge winners:

1st PLACE

DAVID KASPERSON, UTAH

“I saw Tommy’s weight management results over the summer and sent him a message asking, ‘What the heck did you do?’ He was hardly recognizable. Tommy told me about the challenge and my wife and I both jumped in. The first day, we were supposed to lift weights, but ended up doing the workout lifting cans of food instead. My wife worked every ounce as hard as I did. I lost a significant amount of weight and put on quite a bit of muscle. I used ProArgi-9+ and Calorie Burner before workouts and took another Calorie Burner at lunch. I took Body Cleanse once a month and really enjoyed drinking Health Shake for breakfasts. I am a huge fan of the Facebook group Tommy set up. It made me competitive, but it was also fun to support everyone else. You genuinely started to care about others’ success as well as your own.

I travel a bit for work and I liked the idea that by following the 90-day Challenge nutrition plan I could make healthy decisions no matter where I was. I’ve maintained all of the habits I created during the challenge. It has made me more deliberate and proactive in the decisions I make to preserve my health. I’m not a fitness nut, just a normal guy. That being said, this system is the real thing. This experience has been life-altering. I wake up every day with more energy; it’s a feeling that’s hard to describe.”

2nd PLACE

JOHN ROTH, CALIFORNIA

“If I could describe the first week in one word, it would be ‘hell.’  Not because of the program, but because of my uncontrollable sweet tooth. It was my birthday that week and people were giving me chocolate cake, chocolate covered fruit—the sweets just kept coming! Somehow, I made it through as the cake server and didn’t eat any. The cool thing about Tommy’s challenge was he had a closed Facebook group and posted a video telling us we would be tempted that week, and then had us post photos of the food that was tempting us. This somehow made it easier to pass up the foods I wanted to eat.

I really like SLMsmart Health Shake and I took ProArgi-9+ before my workouts. I found that I had a lot of energy during my workouts and was able to push harder through them. Toward the end of the challenge, I went mountain biking with some of my buddies and beat everyone to the top of this hill that they normally stopped on top of to wait for me. In the end, I couldn't believe my results. It has been 22 years since I’ve been less than 200 lbs. Everything this challenge taught me made sense, which is why I had success. Now, I’m looking forward to becoming a SLMsmart coach in the January round. It has been an amazing transformation and reprogramming for me, which is why I’m stoked to keep it going.”

3rd PLACE

CAMERON LUNGREN, CALIFORNIA

“The first week of the challenge was a challenge. There were multiple birthdays and it was the week of the 4th of July. But I stuck to my plan and I lost weight in the first week because of the changes I made to my diet and my daily exercise plan. This huge victory motivated me to keep at it. I followed the SLMsmart app faithfully, which had me doing high-intensity interval training. As I got into better shape, I started to run in the morning and at night. I drank SLMsmart Health Shake for breakfast or had something that was high in protein. When I felt ‘snacky’ at night I used SLMsmart Crave Control. My clothes continued to fit more and more loosely. When the challenge ended and I put my before-and-after photos next to each other and couldn’t believe what I had accomplished in such a short amount of time. When you change the way you eat, do the workouts, and take the supplements, it works, and it works fast. This challenge not only changed my habits, it changed my family’s habits.”

Elite Honors Spotlight: Nick & Penny Neufeld

Thursday, November 19, 2015 , ,

Month after month, Team Members are discovering just how much is attainable when they set a goal to become Elite Honors Qualified each month. Team Members who have qualified multiple months are seeing the fruits of their labors and some are going the extra mile by maintaining their highest pin titles to earn the Go Elite Promotion bonus.

Nick and Penny Neufeld, Stars from British Columbia, Canada, understand what it means to be busy. Caring for and homeschooling seven children is a full-time job on its own, however, Nick has a full-time job as a general contractor, and both Nick and Penny make time every day to kindle their Synergy business. Chuck Pinnell introduced Synergy to Nick and Penny, and they finally got involved in the business after noticing the real and impactful effects that Synergy products were having on a handful of their immediate family members’ lives. Once friends and family began to notice differences in the Neufeld household’s health, they started asking questions. Synergy product orders followed from people in their neighborhood, people Nick works with, and people at church.

As new Synergy distributors, Nick and Penny have latched onto the Elite Honors concept because it gives them a straightforward approach in monthly goal setting. In October, the couple became Elite Honors qualified and earned a Go Elite bonus! They will continue working toward Elite Honors qualification each month to help them reach the Bronze title.

“Chuck Pinnell is an incredible mentor and has been in network marketing for years, so we feel fortunate to have him on our side. He introduced Elite Honors to us, but didn’t push it. We were originally worried about joining a network marketing company because I was involved in one before and it was too time consuming. I couldn’t be at home helping with the kids after work because I would go to meeting after meeting. Synergy isn’t this way, though. So far, everything has been attainable, including Elite Honors. Becoming Elite Honors qualified and earning the Go Elite bonus was definitely a goal we set, and it was nice to know it was achievable. I have a new distributor who said the same thing. He loves having small goals to reach for that are already established.

We see the potential with Synergy, and with only one income currently running our household, sharing products we already love to earn a second income seems like the perfect setup. Finding Synergy has been huge for us. We have not only found a great business opportunity, we’ve found products that have changed our home life for the better. Stumbling across ProArgi-9+ and the other Synergy products has been a blessing.”

Elite Honors Spotlight: Sandra Rangel

Friday, November 13, 2015 , ,

Month after month, Team Members are discovering just how much is attainable when they set a goal to become Elite Honors Qualified each month. Team Members who have qualified multiple months are seeing the fruits of their labors and some are going the extra mile by maintaining their highest pin titles to earn the Go Elite Promotion bonus.

Sandra Rangel, a Bronze from Florida, is a medical doctor from Colombia who now practices holistic medicine. After dealing with some of her own medical complications, her views on what it takes to be healthy shifted. While in Finland, Sandra met Emerald Executives Eric and Kati Gammals who introduced her to Synergy. Being a doctor, Sandra knows that the majority of health supplements manufactured today should not be trusted. However, after meeting the brains behind Synergy’s quality and research teams, touring Nature’s Sunshine’s and Synergy’s manufacturing facility, and exploring the Hughes Center for Research and Innovation, she knew Synergy products were different. She has been recommending Synergy products to her clients, friends, and family ever since.

“Eric and Kati challenged me to become Elite Honors Qualified, and I’ve accomplished this challenge two months in a row. They have been great examples to me. I know that if I continue to become Elite Honors Qualified I can build a stable income and live freely. I believe in Synergy products, and by believing in them I am also earning a living and building something bigger. I have a broader vision of what’s possible through Synergy.

I am encouraging others to become Elite Honors Qualified now. I’m telling them there is a way to succeed in this business. I’ve seen the Gammals’ success and made them my mentors. They are leading me and helping me understand the importance of duplication. The goal is to continue qualifying and help others to do the same.”

Elite Honors Spotlight: Cheuntel Kunkler

Thursday, November 12, 2015 , ,

Month after month, Team Members are discovering just how much is attainable when they set a goal to become Elite Honors Qualified each month. Team Members who have qualified multiple months are seeing the fruits of their labors and some are going the extra mile by maintaining their highest pin titles to earn the Go Elite Promotion bonus.

Cheuntel Kunkler, a Star from California, is a healer who helps people regain their health through natural remedies. She created a wellness program for her clients that includes Synergy products. After changing her poor health around, she found purpose in helping others do the same thing. She turned to nutrition and ingredients that are found in Synergy products to help her on her journey to wellness. Cheuntel has been an entrepreneur for 25 years and a Synergy Team Member for two years.

Due to her background in entrepreneurism, she said she has been introduced to a number of direct selling companies, but found that Synergy WorldWide fit best with her personal beliefs and goals.

Her Synergy business has been primarily focused on bringing in customers, but now that her customers have built a belief in the product, Cheuntel as seen a growing interest in her customers wanting to become distributors.

“My sponsor Bill Muth encouraged me to sign up two distributors in October, so I did both the last day of the month! I work full time and usually do 10-12 massages per day, so I have a lot on my plate, so I rely on the people who come through my studio door to become my customers and distributors. I keep Synergy product in stock in my studio at all times and I get a lot of customers this way. I make my Synergy business part of what I do every day.

I’m driven to help others, and through Elite Honors and the Go Elite Promotion I’m rewarded for helping, which is amazing. I do what I can to help people every day and Synergy is part of my toolbox. I researched Synergy for a long time before signing up. I have high expectations because I’m extremely organic and only purchase products have not been treated with chemicals, but Synergy’s integrity and its products are up to par with my standards.”

Are Synergy Products Organic?

Wednesday, November 04, 2015

When it comes to nutritional supplements, you deserve superior quality. One of the most frequent product questions we answer in our Customer Service department and on our manufacturing tours is, "Are Synergy products organic?"

As many of you may know, the term "organic" refers to a plant growing method that does not use synthetic chemicals. The extensive farm audits and raw material testing our quality control team performs ensures that all of our herbs and raw materials meet organic standards. Because of our strict internal testing, we do not pursue third party organic certification for any of our finished products. The organic certification process is primarily for marketing purposes.

When applicable, our purchasing department will look for organic-certified ingredients. However, several ingredients are not candidates for organic certification. Plants that are wild-crafted are not grown on farms, and hence cannot be certified organic. We obtain several herbs from outside of the U.S., and very few countries outside the U.S. have any kind of standard for organic certification. We only partner with suppliers that meet our strict quality standards. The extensive inspections and audits our teams conduct on each supplier and their products ensures that our herbs meet organic standards.

When you purchase from Synergy WorldWide, you are guaranteed products with no residue from fertilizers, pesticides or other types of contamination.

Remember, if an independent organization has a product with an organic certification, this certification does not necessarily mean the product contains high quality ingredients. Organic items can still be contaminated through water sources unknown to the growers. The real proof is in the testing, which Synergy conducts according to the strictest quality assurance practices in the industry.

You can be sure that we provide the highest quality products with the highest purity standards.

Elite Honors Spotlight: Kent Clark

Tuesday, October 27, 2015 ,

Month after month, Team Members are discovering just how much is attainable when they set a goal to become Elite Honors Qualified each month. Team Members who have qualified multiple months are seeing the fruits of their labors and some are going the extra mile by maintaining their highest pin titles to earn the Go Elite Promotion bonus.

One of these Team Members is Kent Clark, a Bronze from Wingo, Kentucky, who has been with Synergy WorldWide for a short three months and is using his medical background to connect with health practitioners in his area. He was in chiropractic work for many years, but recently found his passion in natural healthcare and became a practitioner. He believes in Synergy’s products and works as a consultant with his sponsor Dr. Jim Sandberg to get the products into as many doctors’ hands as possible.

Since beginning his Synergy business, Kent has been working nonstop to grow his team, and in September, he accumulated enough volume to become Elite Honors Qualified without realizing it. He was educated on the Elite Honors earnings model and set up an Autoship template to make his Elite Honors Qualification official. In the same month, he rank advanced to Bronze and was rewarded with a $300 Go Elite bonus.

“This bonus was a total surprise,” Kent said. “I knew bonus opportunities were available, but
didn’t know exactly what it would take to earn them. I know Elite Honors and this promotion will help me a lot in the future.”

His current goal is to put 10 new people on a 500 CV package of Synergy products each month. Another important element in his business is showing doctors how to make 15,000 CV per month with the Synergy product package Kent put together. Kent said he believes these goals will not only help him become a consistent Elite Honors Qualifier, they’ll help him maintain his current title, achieve new titles, and earn the Go Elite Bonus every month.

“As I learn more about training my own downline, Elite Honors will serve as a useful talking point that will make the learning process a lot easier,” Kent said.

Hughes Center Makes Groundbreaking ProArgi-9+ Discoveries

Thursday, October 22, 2015

Scientists at the Hughes Center for Research and Innovation have made several remarkable discoveries on Synergy’s ProArgi-9+ formula, showing that ProArgi-9+ can do what l-arginine cannot do on its own. Following these discoveries, Nature’s Sunshine has filed a United States provisional patent application to ensure that Synergy maintains exclusive rights to this iconic formula.

While the details of the patent application are not yet published, Dr. Matthew Tripp, Nature’s Sunshine’s Chief Scientific Officer, shared some insights into their discoveries.

“Numerous studies have shown the cardiovascular benefits of l-arginine,” explained Nature’s Sunshine’s Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Matthew Tripp. “However, our preliminary in vitro and human studies showed that the unique combination of ingredients in our ProArgi-9+ formula enhances the effects of L-arginine within the body in several ways.”

STUDY #1

The body converts the amino acid l-arginine into nitric oxide to support healthy circulatory and cardiovascular function. Although l-arginine alone can increase the surrogate marker of saliva nitric oxide, this is a gradual process. In testing ProArgi-9+, Nature’s Sunshine found that its formula significantly and rapidly increases the level of nitric oxide in the body.

The findings of this study are significant because other studies show that aging and poor diet can affect the metabolic systems responsible for producing nitric oxide, causing them to work less effectively. Healthy nitric oxide levels are important for proper vasodilation, along with blood pressure, muscle, heart and central nervous system function*.

STUDY #2

Previous studies have shown that l-arginine has no significant effect on myeloperoxidase, an enzyme that inhibits nitric oxide production. Additionally, l-arginine has no significant influence on inhibiting the oxidation of LDL cholesterol. The Hughes Center’s preliminary study discovered that the unique combination of ingredients found in Synergy’s ProArgi-9+ potently inhibited myeloperoxidase and helps to reduce the oxidation of LDL cholesterol.

“These groundbreaking studies are exactly what we hoped for when the Hughes Center opened its doors in February 2015,” said Dan Norman, President of Synergy WorldWide. “Thanks to Dr. Matthew Tripp and his team of skilled scientists, we can publicize the proven impact ProArgi-9+ can have on countless lives all over the world. This is exciting news, and we are eager to share it with individuals around the world with the hope of helping more people achieve optimal health.”

Together, the results of these studies indicate that the unique properties found in ProArgi-9+ positively impact cardiovascular health by supporting the production of nitric oxide and inhibiting myeloperoxidase. These findings support the use of ProArgi-9+ for optimal heart health.

The Hughes Center is revealing the power that lies in Synergy products. Synergy WorldWide is incredibly fortunate to have a brilliant and seasoned staff of scientists standing behind its products, providing telling research that reinforces Synergy’s mission to leave a lasting legacy of health around the world.

ProArgi-9+ Wins Best New Product at Expo!

Wednesday, October 21, 2015

More than 15,000 people passed through the recent 2015 CAMexpo in London where natural healthcare professionals gather to showcase the latest products and attend workshops from health industry experts. This year, a group of Synergy Team Members attended the 2-day expo and showcased Synergy’s bestselling product ProArgi-9+.

All of the healthcare professionals, practitioners, therapists, pharmacists, and health store retailers who attended CAMexpo had the opportunity to vote on the “Best New CAM Product.” ProArgi-9+ beat 35 other products in the New Product Showcase’s opening day to claim the award!

“It’s the first time we’ve been at CAMexpo and it’s been a tremendous show,” said Synergy Team Member Lorraine Knight after receiving the award. “It’s a great achievement for us to win this award, which gives our product the recognition we believe it deserves.  It’s a great endorsement going forward and we’re delighted to win.”

Lorraine Knight and Peter Tarbitten organized and manned the ProArgi-9+ booth with the help of fellow Team Members Tamara McKenzie, Mark Weston, and their sponsors Paul and Kate Flint. They invited visitors to try the product and come back to the booth 45-60 minutes later to report their results. The vast majority of those who tried the product were more than pleased and voted ProArgi-9+ the Best New CAMexpo Product with total confidence. By the end of the expo, Synergy had a list of new customer and distributors.

“Receiving this award is validation that ProArgi-9+ is a product the people want and need,” Paul Flint said. “People who have never heard about ProArgi-9+ are instantly intrigued by its health benefits and when they take the product they are seeing results right away. Health professionals, especially in the United Kingdom, are familiar with CAMexpo and this award will be a talking point as we introduce ProArgi-9+ to practitioners and therapists in the future.”

We are ecstatic that the power or ProArgi-9+ was discovered by thousands of well-respected health professionals thanks to this fantastic tradeshowand the UK Team Members that made it happen.

Million Dollar Club: Stefan Patrik Kristofferson & Øistein Bekkvang

Wednesday, October 14, 2015

Business partners and friends Stefan Patrik Kristofferson and Øistein Bekkvang know that two minds are stronger than one, which is why they joined forces in 2009 to begin building a Synergy empire. Less than three years later they achieved the Emerald Executive title, making them the third account to ever earn this status in Europe. With this title, they continued to expand their business across Europe and recently hit the $1 million mark, a major milestone in their Synergy journey.

“I met Patrik in another company and I was surprised by his work ethic,” Øistein said. “When I learned about Synergy WorldWide, I shared my knowledge with Patrik but he was not interested. After about a year, he finally saw the potential and value that rested in this company.”

Øistein’s and Stefan Patrik’s personalities are perfect complements, allowing their business to excel in areas that maybe it wouldn’t have had they chose to work alone. Øistein’s strengths shine behind the scenes with his logic, realistic perspective and level-headed nature. He is someone that new acquaintances can instantly trust. Stefan Patrik shines on stage. He knows how to make a room full of people excited and motivated to go after their dreams. Together, they create the solid foundation of a business that consistently executes and thrive because of it.

All of the success the team has seen over the years initially took off in 2010, when Øistein and Stefan Patrik flew to the U.S. to visit Synergy WorldWide and meet company executives and successful Team Members, including Double Presidential Mark Comer.

“When I returned home from that trip I told Øistein I was 100% with him in this business venture,” Stefan Patrik said. “The products are made for real people with a desire to better their health. The Compensation Plan was the best I had seen because of the Mega-Match. Though there weren’t many sales materials available in Europe when we started our business, we always received the support we needed, and everyone sincerely wanted to help us. That’s one of the biggest benefits that comes with starting a Synergy business.”

Centering their business focus on setting and achieving goals, Øistein and Stefan Patrik have taught hundreds, if not thousands, effective goal-setting habits, and their example is founding cornerstones in the way Europe’s leaders teach new distributors to operate every day. They have worked tirelessly over the years, traveling and educating the masses about Synergy’s valuable products and opportunities. And though the work hasn’t been easy, they wouldn’t trade the time they’ve spent with Synergy for anything. They’ve been able to achieve financial freedom, travel the world and make lifelong friendships.

“If you want to change your life, if you want to be something you have never been before, this is the opportunity to be that person,” Stefan Patrik said. “You get to work when you want to work, where you want to work, and with the people you enjoy being with. You can take control of your life. I call that the Synergy lifestyle.”

Øistein and Stefan Patrik are grateful for their supportive sponsor Martin Østvang and the many people on their team who have devoted themselves to Synergy WorldWide and allowed this new Million Dollar Club team to advance within the company.

Protein and Meal Replacements Increasing in Demand

Monday, October 12, 2015

Between 2009 and 2014, protein has become one of consumer health’s most in-demand ingredients with a sales increase of 59.3%, according to Euromonitor. Additionally, meal replacements are the highest selling weight management supplement today! Both trends are forecasted to stay on the incline for the foreseeable future as people invest in fitness and grow increasingly aware of their health.

Recognizing this trend, Synergy WorldWide decided to meet two global consumer demands with SLMsmart Health Shake, a delicious meal replacement mix with 26 grams of protein in every serving. But what is it that’s making protein and meal replacements a household necessity?

WHY PROTEIN?

The human body is stacked with protein. Proteins exist in the outer and inner membranes of every living cell and also make an appearance in:

  • Muscle tissue
  • Bones
  • Red blood cells and plasma
  • Hair and nails

The body needs protein to make enzymes, which do a number of jobs in the body, including digesting food and making new cells. Perhaps one of the most important jobs that proteins have are creating neurotransmitters, which are responsible for sending messages back and forth from nerve cells to other specialized cells, such as muscle cells.

As people are predicted to continue making fitness a priority, protein will increase in importance because it is essential in supporting muscle growth. While SLMsmart Health Shake was designed by in-house scientists to support weight management programs, many have turned to SLMsmart for its protein content and nutrients.

WHY MEAL REPLACEMENTS?

As people find their schedules more and more hectic, it can be tough to constantly stress over proper nutrition, especially when trying to control their weight. That’s why an increasing number of people are reaching for meal replacement shakes, which are nutrient-dense and can help fill the gaps created by an incomplete diet through an easy-to-mix shake. Add in the convenience factor of being able to stash a serving or two in your purse or car and you have the recipe for a quick, delicious alternative to skipping a meal or overindulging in a less healthy restaurant option.

Whether you’re looking for an easy weight management solution or a convenient way to fill nutritional voids, Health Shake can show you why meal replacements are skyrocketing in popularity. Incorporate this mix into your daily routine to satisfy your chocolate and vanilla cravings while staying on track to a healthier you. Whether you use SLMsmart for nutrition, weight management or fitness, it’s full of the healthy essentials your body craves with a taste you love.

Elite Honors Spotlight: Steve & Julie Russon

Saturday, October 03, 2015

Month after month, Team Members are discovering just how much is attainable when they set a goal to become Elite Honors Qualified each month. Team Members who have qualified multiple months are seeing the fruits of their labors and some are going the extra mile by maintaining their highest pin titles to earn the Go Elite promotion bonus.

Steve and Julie Russon, Silvers from Pleasant Grove, Utah, recently achieved Elite Honors for the third time and received the Go Elite bonus twice. This hardworking is couple has been with Synergy for 2 ½ years and is not lacking in personality. Steve competes in Scottish games, always sporting a kilt with a Synergy T-shirt, and Julie keeps herself busy supporting their three children and one grandson.  In addition, Steve works as the first assist to an orthopedic surgeon and sees the many ailments people suffer from on a daily basis.

“When we first heard about the Elite Honors model, it seemed familiar, like this is what we were supposed to be doing anyway. Before Elite Honors, we were working, but we were floundering. When Elite Honors was launched, we were really focused on making the customer volume work and focused on getting the signups. It has been a great guide for us. Every day, my husband and I wake up and decide what we need to do to achieve Elite Honors and then we say “Where do we want to go?” It is a morning habit now, like eating breakfast or brushing teeth.

Through Elite Honors, we’ve learned the business building process; we’ve learned how to focus and how to get organized. However, we had to decide that we didn’t want any another option, we wanted this to work. The program has been easy enough and is the reason we wake up with a fixed idea in our minds each morning of what we will accomplish that day. Remember, nothing ever comes easy and it’s a gradual process.

I have a serious appreciation for how devoted Synergy’s leaders are and how they express what Synergy has done for them. Because of this, the Synergy dream is believable and it’s possible. Synergy is a company that will never rip you off. It’s a company that cares and it’s an environment of caring for others.”
